Leadership, leading life

Being open and involved also means being vulnerable. Abuse and exploitation are a risk. That’s where leadership fits in. Leadership protects the person, group, project, department or company and guards space to live, spontaneity and freedom to act.

But what goes for leadership is often quite the opposite. Instead of protecting the vulnerable it wares it down, uses it until there is nothing left or excludes it from almost everything. The true beautifully fulfilling of life gets lost. We’re keeping up appearances, hid behind the façade of ‘look at me doing well’. But the reality is different. We don’t flourish, are not who we really can be. We’re not effective and waste energy, trouble and frustration. We frustrate not only ourselves but also our environment. People, projects, companies and the world arounds us suffer. Life slips out.

Therefor a call out for good leadership. Nature shows us how this can be done. Our biology, from the level of cells up to packs, herds and tribes, shows us how intertangled life and leadership really are. How liveliness, openness, love and involvement can be protected and how this will unleash the great force and diversity that’s so unique to life. No matter how difficult the circumstances, time and time again life on this remarkable planet found a way to survive, to grow and even blossom. The more a reason to follow in its example.

We’ve noticed, developed and collected many of these examples and insights and like to share them. On this sit you’ll find a few of them. But that’s only a very limited part of the more than 450 sheets, 100 hours plus of video and many tools and practical experiences that are available. And, new ones are added almost daily.

All this material is available for people who really want to Lead Life. People working on what really matters. People in companies or outside. People who take responsibility and use possibilities in a creative manner.

It might be the easiest option, to just let things happen. To go along with what others say, think or do, with ‘that’s just the way it is’. Just follow the crowd. But how much fun is that? Is it satisfying? Are you really making things happen, and do you feel fully alive? Sometimes… not often… often not. Well then, go for it. Swim enthusiastically against the stream. That’s not always easy, you’ll get pushed and shoved sometimes. But it’s worth it. You’ll really achieve something, you’re alive!

So fantasts, dreamers and adventurers protect the vulnerable, add something positive and lead this world to be a little better, for all of us!
